The store has recently undergone a makeover, and now it is friggin adorable.
My friend Amy joined me for coffee. She is an artist extraordinaire (AmyRose Studios on Etsy) , and loves an on-theme dress as much (or possibly more) than I do. Here she is rocking a tea kettle dress.
I was a little less on theme with my banana skirt, but I knew if anyone could truly appreciate it, it would be Amy. So I wore it anyway.
I ordered a pumpkin latte, which was delicious, and I was mega impressed that the barista (who we nicknamed Thomas because we didn't know his actual name....long story) was able to walk it all the way out to our table without spilling it! It was full to the brim, and beautiful. And delicious! Amy got a decaf Americano, and gets cool points for bringing her own coconut milk from home in a tiny jar. Junction's coffee is supplied by Goshen, a popular coffee roasting company based in Edwardsville, Illinois.
I had to have some yogurt too, and I was in luck- they currently carry pumpkin pie flavored yogurt. I know, it sounds gross, but it was NOT. AT ALL. I topped it with butterscotch chips, graham cracker crumbs and Oreos. Because why not.
They're open every night until 9pm, which is just late enough for me. After that I need to go to bed. Amy and I haven't been able to meet up in a while, so we stayed for a long time, catching up on important topics like Sherlock, Modcloth dresses, and red lipstick. Seriously, such a fun time with a good friend, and the perfect little coffee shop.
