Let's Get Coffee: At Comet Coffee

Comet Coffee, located right by Forest Park, is so great, you guys. Not only do they make an exceptional cup of coffee, they make some of my favorite pastries in the St. Louis area.

This time around I went with my friend Melanie, who I've known since grade school. She is one of my best friends of all time, a ball of energy, and loves coffee. It was her first time at Comet.

I tend to panic a little at Comet when it's time to order because there are SO many options for coffee and pastries alike. You want a croissant made from scratch? They have it. A Lithuanian bacon bun? Yep they have that too. Do you want a latte, pour-over, cold brew coffee, or maybe a hot cup of tea? It's all there. But I've never been unhappy with the choices I've made.

Melanie got a cold brew coffee with a cranberry scone. I went with a vanilla latte (the syrup is made in-house) and a slice of tomato/mozzarella quiche. I can never resist a good quiche.

What I loved most about the quiche is that the little pearls of mozzarella were still intact on the inside, so you really got big bites of delicious cheese!

Comet Coffee is a tiny shop (space-wise) that is often very busy. So I usually make a back up plan of taking my items to-go in case there's no place to sit. Bryan and I went one morning and then took our drinks and pastries with us to the zoo. It was lovely. But me and Melanie got lucky this time, and snagged a table outside on the nicest day. Also, we got to sit with these cool guys (they don't belong to either of us). So it was a win-win-win kind of day.
